Hey everyone! What’s Wokin’? My name is Pablo Zitzmann and I am the Executive Chef of No Name Chinese. Welcome to my new monthly feature where I talk about what’s new or “what’s Wokin” at No Name Chinese. Think of it like an editor’s letter but from the chef. For September I wanted to update you on everything having to do with our new menu. As you may know, No Name Chinese is a modern Chinese restaurant in South Miami focusing on local ingredients and #dopechinesefood. I change the menu a few times a year and for this rotation I wanted to focus on fresh and bright ingredients like the peaches and tomatoes found in our Mala New Girl Tomatoes that has a Ma La Vinaigrette, whipped straciattella and summer fruits and herbs.
Also new is our Cambodian Style Short Rib which is a slow roasted bone in short rib with coconut and fish sauce vinaigrette, Szechwan peppercorn, bib lettuce and accouterments. In addition to the new menu items I wanted to create a tasting menu! Its $60 per person family style and includes 5-6 dishes. Myself and the kitchen team choose every dish after finding out each individual persons likes and dislikes. It’s honestly the best way to experience No Name Chinese as the choices vary every time- so it is great for new guests and regulars alike. There’s even a wine pairing option available created by our in house sommelier, for an additional cost!
There are so many fun things happening at the restaurant including, new cocktails, brunch and merchandise that I can’t wait to tell you in October’s iteration of What’s Wokin’, in the meantime keep up with us on Instagram at @noname_chinese.
